Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 November 2026

This policy covers ozgurodun.com (the blog) and tetragram.ozgurodun.com (the Tetragram word game). Questions and deletion requests: [email protected].

The blog #

The blog has no accounts, comments or forms, and runs no analytics of my own. The sites are served through Cloudflare, which may process technical records such as IP address and browser details for security and to deliver the service.

Tetragram #

When you play, this is what gets stored:

  • Nickname and score. For the leaderboard, the nickname you pick, your score and your game settings (language, speed, word length) are stored on the server and shown publicly. You don’t have to use your real name.
  • Game record. The game’s moves are replayed on the server to check the score is genuine.
  • In your browser. Your nickname, settings and last game are kept in your browser’s local storage, not sent to the server; clearing your browser data removes them.
  • Feedback. If you send a bug report or request, your message, optional contact details, nickname and technical context that helps me understand the problem (page, game settings, browser type, screen size) are stored.
  • Abuse protection. To limit spam, your IP address is hashed one-way with a secret key; the IP address itself is never stored. The feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check you’re human.

Ads and cookies #

The sites may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can read how Google uses that data here and turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings.

Your rights #

Under KVKK, GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. To remove a leaderboard score or feedback you sent, email the address above. Data is never sold and is not shared with third parties other than for ads.
